It started with a downpour and so it ended with a
deluge - Manchester certainly delivers when it some
to precipitation
ITC08 : MONDAY BUSINESS
06 October 2008 / Various Venues / Manchester
:: Sandbox :: The Molotovs :: Shanty Town :: Fake Kings :: New Antics :: The Imogen Styles :: Minus IQ :: The Cordels ::
I spot a band with outfits so skinny I doubt they’d
get a five pound note into their rear patch pocket
without ripping the backside off their pants
ITC08 : Going For A Ruby
06 October 2008 / Ruby Lounge / Manchester
:: Young British Artists :: Vagner Love :: The Jessie Rose Trip :: Frazer King :: Royal Treatment Plant ::

06 October 2008 / Various Venues / Manchester
:: The Real Dolls :: Lights :: Graveyard Johnnys :: Barn Owl :: Friends Electric ::
I always think that big angled mirror above the
stage in Chicago Rocks (formerly Life Café) is
pretty weird. Not a venue you want to be playing if
anyone in the band's got a bald spot they're worried
about.

has the bite and attitude to match
ITC08 : - A little indulgence
05 October 2008 / Night & Day / Manchester
:: Laymar :: Capital ::
Right, look, I know ITC shouldn't be about going to
see bands you've see 23 times before (yes, I've
counted) but everyone's allowed a break, right?
ITC08: Sunday afternoon - a wander around official and unofficial sessions
05 October 2008 / Various Venues / Manchester
:: Nomad Jones :: George Borowski :: Dan Melrose :: Sons Of The Stage :: Outsider :: Dead World Leaders :: Rod Thomas ::
The things this man can do with an acoustic guitar
are pretty incredible; folky pickings, scuttling
calypso flourishes, frenzied acoustic blues....
ITC08 : Never mind the free bar, the music's pretty good too...
05 October 2008 / Studio - Peter St / Manchester

I'm not even sure that this is actually ITC - it's
the day before but it's stuffed with bands...

Any band called Vagina Wolf has to be seen, really,
if only to find out what a band with such a
phenomenal name sound like

04 October 2008 / Night & Day / Manchester

ITC08 : Didn't I see you here this time last year?
03 October 2008 / Night & Day / Manchester
:: All The Kings Men :: Lowline :: Mutineers ::
..21:00. I have a distinct feeling this won't be my

:: Daniel Land And The Modern Painters :: The Lucid Dream ::
Tonight the Northern Quarter is hosting two of the brightest hopes of the new-shoegaze-spacerock scene, but rather inconveniently they're not in the same place
SEA OF LOVE
31 October 2008 / 53 Degrees / Preston
:: Team Waterpolo :: Alto Elite ::
Team Waterpolo's particular brand of up-and-coming electro-indie is so addictive that it’s probably going to be made illegal soon
ROCK OF AGES

:: The Chemists :: The Music ::
The grand finale erupts into disco-moshing leaving beer dripping from the cinders..
BOOK OFF
11 October 2008 / The Castle / Oldham
:: CarJack Mallone :: The Slow Readers Club :: Crazy Daze ::
Whilst there’s the feeling that they’ve got themselves in a bit of mess at the lovely Buck Pub next door, there is certainly something much bigger on the horizon
