:: Turin Brakes ::
14 January 2008 / EMI / 1 Trk CD
By Parker Knoll

Turin Brakes were one of the bands that first modern acts to create a magical hybrid of lilting post-folk pop and stadium sized ballads. “Something In My Eye” is another impressive cut that somehow bridges the lost expanse of sounds that sit somewhere between Starsailor and Snow Patrol without sounding anywhere near as sycophantic as either. It’s as though the Everley Brothers had been reborn and reinvented for the 21st Century. Of sorts.
